I booked a bus from Tsolo to Cape Town and there were 4 of us the bus was suppose to arrive kuTsolo at 12:45 and in Cape Town at 08:00 and guess what?It arrived kuTsolo at 14:50 and we did not even get any messages about the bus being delayed.We reached Umtata and the bus was full and some people had to stand and wait for those who were getting off at the next Town.While we were at it no driver notified passengers the do’s and don’ts of the bus people smoked and did number twos on the toilet.And we did not arrive at 08:00 we arrived at 10:45.And we did not have enough breaks as the drivers were rushing.The bus is nice and cute but they are careless.

I had a very disappointing experience with Intercity Express. Their customer service is extremely poor. I received no meaningful assistance, and the representatives I interacted with were unhelpful and lacked competence. Team leaders should consider conducting mystery calls to properly assess the level of service their staff are providing. Based on my experience, there appears to be a serious gap in quality and accountability. I also believe this matter needs to be escalated to a senior level, as it seems management may be too busy to address these issues directly. Additionally, the WhatsApp contact number listed on your website should be reviewed and corrected, as it does not appear to function properly or reliably. Overall, the service was unacceptable, and I would not recommend using them.
They have the best drivers! But customer service is terrible at PARK STATION - there is this Sotho speaking gentleman, who offloaded all my luggage and I was called and TOLD you are under charge they are already driving away with my personal possessions! Without even asking for POP. They Don’t care if you have any personal possessions left inside the bus. They Don’t care to explain to as a customer before they execute that! They teat fragile items recklessly! When we got inside the office instead of weighing items, they say pay extra R200 and I swiped. I had R1000 prior for 225kg and 25kg was declared free! My luggage combined is not even 225kg. I have POP and he disrespect other employees, saying they under charged me! He tells you, I will put you in another bus, like he booked your ticket and he now tells you that, does he even think that you booked the bus with preference! Giving me attitude, treating me like a foreigner in my country! You regret using them! Customer care is off paramount importance, don’t be alarmed one day business goes down. Very rude and ambushing you! Full of disrespect.
The service is so poor, my bus was at 22:15 but the bus got here around 12pm while we are standing outside in the cold…. We got in the bus but there is no driver and the bus started moving at 1am👿…. I don’t recommend intercity at all… Greyhound is the best option
Horrendous customer service. Bus broke down at 23:50, we were told a bus is coming. Waited for over three hours, a mechanic arrived, who couldn't fix the issue. We were in Pietermaritzburg for over 8 hours, with no viable communication from the drivers. Customer care wasn't any help either!! If there was something less than a star I would have rated this company that. Still on the bus to JHB( it is now 11:22am) when the arrival time was 05:40. 10/10 do not recommend.
